The inviting boulevard is the heart of the town. Despite the increased number of visitors over the years, the town still breathes the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the tranquil Bedouin fisherman’s village it once was.
At the Lighthouse Boulevard you will find many local restaurants. Taste some of the local dishes and drinks like Bedouin tea, sahlab, falafel or shakshoeka. The restaurants also serve European food such as pizza’s, burgers, fresh juices, milkshakes and good coffee. Most restaurants have their own ‘easy entry’ to the shallow sandy bay of the Lighthouse Reef. On the other side of the boulevard you will find their kitchens and an abundance of local shops selling dive courses, handmade carpets, souvenirs and summer clothes.
