Start at 08:00 am from Dahab and drive by Jeep to White Canyon. The White Canyon, a splendid example of eroded sandstone, its floor awash with white powdered sand. Its narrow, winding path opens up to plateaus of harsh desert and then narrows again, until the exit at the oasis of Ain Khudra, a beautiful little oasis with date palms and water springs that have been home to Bedouin tribes for over one thousand years.

We will walk in the White Canyon for  1 hour, then visit Ain Khudra Oasis, for tea and lunch, Drive 40 minutes to see the Mushroom Rock and a 30 minute hike  through Salama Canyon. Then drive for 20 minutes to the Inscription Rock. Return to Dahab around 04:00 pm.

Coloured Canyon

The Coloured Canyon is a narrow slot canyon located near the town of Nuweiba, on Sinai peninsula, Egypt, so named because of its amazing spectrum of colours and banding. The canyon was formed by water erosion millions of years ago when this region was submerged under the ocean. It’s almost 800 meters long and flanked by walls 40 meters high.

We will pick you up at 8 am at the reception of your hotel. Drive 2.5 hrs. Our guide will take you for a beautiful hike into this colorful canyon. Don’t forget to bring your camera! After the hike, we will have lunch in the desert and bring you back to Dahab.

Double  Canyon

 Driving the typical Sinai Camels through the tranquil desert and drinking the Bedouin tea will make you think you have traveled back in time to a place where life was simple and fair. 

We will visit two canyons, connected in the middle by a path over a small rocky plateau.

From Nosrat el Guna you will have great views on the desert and the High Mountains in the distance. We will climb into the canyon for some other amazing views . Following the canyon we will reach the plateau where the camels will be waiting for us to drive back to Wadi Arada for lunch.

Let’s go camel riding!

Wadi Weshwashi

We will pick you up at 8 am with our 4×4 Jeep, passing Nuweiba (1 hr). Then we go off-road for another half hr to Wadi Wishwashi. It will take us about 30 minutes hiking and scrambling through this beautiful canyon to reach the water basin that fills up with rainwater. Jump in if you like! As soon as you are ready we will hike back to your jeep and continue our trip to Ras Shitan (30 minutes drive). Here we can rest and have lunch. Optional snorkeling. At the end of the day, we will head back to Dahab

Lion King Desert Tour 2 days – 1 night

Travel the desert by 4×4 Landcruiser. The first objective is Wadi Arada for a hike in the Double Canyon. After lunch, we will visit some places with very well-preserved rock inscriptions, some dating as far as 2.000 yrs back in time! The most important drawing shows a hunter hunting a lion, an animal that is not native to this area anymore.  We will set up camp at ZigZag Canyon and spend the night under the stars. Breakfast at sunrise.  Hike the Zigzag Canyon, see the Safra Sand Dune. After lunch, we will go see  Nawamis, dating 5000 years back in time. Back in Dahab around 4 pm.

Beginning of the Alphabet Desert Tour  3 days – 2 nights

Day 1 Visit to  Wadi el Maghara, where the ancient Egyptians were mining for turquoise. This is documented in Pharaonic tableaus carved into the mountain rock. A 30-minute climb will give us a perfect view of the mining area. Lunch served at Wadi Al Maghara.
After lunch, we head to Wadi Mukattab, (Arabic for “Valley of Writing”), named after its valley’s many Nabataean, Arabic, Coptic, and Greek inscriptions. Following the same route that the pilgrims took when they traveled from Cairo and Suez to Jerusalem, we continue to Wadi Suggarat to see more inscriptions. Then we head to Serabit al-Khadim for dinner and sleep.

Day 2 We will climb Mount Serabit, to explore the Ruins of the Temple of Hathor, built around 2000 BC. Lunch will be served on top of the mountain. Then we will return to our camp to have dinner and spend our last night.

Day 3 Visit Wadi Kharig, an old copper mine, in use during the Bronze Age. We will have lunch and then back to Dahab.

Desert trekking

Day 1
Start from Dahab at 8 am driving for one hour to Wadi Gazala.
A camel ride of1 hr to Salama Canyon. Hiking through the canyon is only allowed with a local guide. After the hike there is time to relax and have lunch before the  camelride to Wadi El Disco. Here we will  dinner and spend the night under the stars. ​
Day 2
After breakfast, camel ride to the Melahes Oasis.  We will have to cross a dried-out watered basin with beautiful colored rock formations. The Oasis is fed by 3 different springs, which are only flowing water several days a year. After lunch, we will slowly return to Wadi El Disco, where we will have dinner and spend our second night under the stars.
Day 3
After breakfast, we will drive to the Nawamis. These are 5000-year old tombs, built by the early nomadic tribes of the Sinai. We will also visit a traditional Bedouin village nearby. Then we will pay a visit to the ruins of an ancient village in Wadi Islaf. Then its time for lunch. We will continue crossing through Wadi Islaf, to see the tomb of Sheikh Abu Taleb. This Bedouin sheikh is buried on top of a hill in the middle of the wadi, a great honor, and respect. We continue through Wadi Islaf to see more of the nawamis tombs. Then we will go to el Karm ecolodge, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 4
After breakfast at the ecolodge, we will take our jeep and take you through the spectacular Wadi el Akhdar to Wadi Zaranik. Here we can find some of the best rock inscriptions in the area. A short hike through the mountains will bring us to a very special historic site and give us the greatest views of the desert. After lunch in the desert, we will drive back to Dahab.
